Chinese government supports the massive introduction of electric vehicles in the coming years to reduce the heavy air pollution in their cities, a chronic problem. On the other hand China dreams of achieving greater oil independence, an issue of great concern to the authorities especially considering that oil reserves are shrinking.
China speaks not only of a massive introduction of these cleaner vehicles, but also of a drastically increase of the number of charging stations to reach 400,000 next year.
The government also announced that attempting electricity for these vehicles is economically and renewable on an increasing proportion. To carry out these purposes the government has announced that private capital will be need, particularly in the premises of the charging stations.
