The French car manufacture Peugeot has developped the charging station of the future for an american customer, with 88 photovoltaic panels and lithium-ion batteries.
The car manufactura Peugeot has a división called Design Lab developing a lot of different sistems connected to the automobiles. In this case the división has released its vision for a future charging station for the American customer Driveco, called the Driveco Parasol.
The charging station incorporates 88 photovoltaic panels covering about 150 m2 and several lithium-ion batteries, allowing the production and storage of solar energy. In this way the station is available 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. It also has an intelligent energy management system "smart grid" . The solar recharging station has space and capacity to recharge seven vehicles simultaneously. It also offers a quick charging system if needed.
One Parasol has been commissioned at Bastia, at the north of Córcega, and another one at Ajaccio, the south of the Island.
