Citroën revealed one month ahead of the Paris Motor Show the CXperience Concept, a striking luxery sedan 4,85 meters long, with a distinctive body style, a special interior designed for the comfort and well-being of all passengers and an innovative plug-in hybrid transmisión, allowing an electric drive whenever necessary.
The Citroën CXperience Concept delivers outstanding dynamic performance with a petrol engine developing between 150 and 200 hp and up to 80 kW of additional energy provided by the electric motor. It can be driven in all-electric mode with a range of 60 km, and limits fuel consumption on road by using the two forms of energy together. On the motorway, the internal combustion engine takes over to deliver a total power of up to 300 hp.
The architecture consists using an 8-speed electric automatic gearbox placed between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor, and a compact battery, positioned under the cabin to deliver electric power to the rear axle.
The 13kW battery can be charged in 4.5 hours with a standard charging system, or in less than 2.5 hours with an ultra-simple charging solution based on a 6.6 kW charger designed for connection to a 32A socket.
