German manufacturer UNU, specialist in electric scooters that are sold via Internet and taken care of through the Bosch services, has received more than 7.5 million Euros from new investors, delighted with the concept of the company. With this new capital, the company intends to expand its market to countries like France and Holland and update its model for the year 2018
The Unu scooter is purchased through the Internet. The customer goes to the company's website, and designs their own model by choosing colors, the type of engine - from the Bosch range - and accessories. Once the order is received, the company manufactures the model the following weekend. It is packaged and shipped via a private delivery service to the customer's address. Before the shipment, the company contacts the customer to agree date and time of delivery, and ask if he already wants the scooter with registration plate and insurance. The parcel service delivers the scooter as requested, and also deals with the recycling of the wrapper to not produce useless waste. With two maneuvers the scooter is mounted and ready to drive.
This business model is enjoying very much, and the success of the company proves that it is a valid concept with a great future. The company is currently in the extension phase to other markets.
