Jochen Hermann, head of e-Mobility development of Mercedes, has made it clear in an interview given to the German magazine "Automobilwoche": the E-Mobility has reached the so-called "tipping point", that is the point of non-return, when an idea or a concept has already permeated into the society and from there it extends like a great fire ... in an unstoppable way.
Including the most reluctant companies to E-Mobility finally have had to yield to what seems to be already essential: the E-Mobility comes. Now companies are obliged to be located in the new market, to be competitive and offer a wide range according to the criteria of their respective brands. Mercedes-Benz has already confirmed that it will accelerate its presence in this new market, as, according to those responsibles, everything already fits. In fact, Mercedes will present ten new electric models before 2020.
Hermann also said in the interview in "Automobilwoche", that the companies new battery factory in Kamenz will not be the last, since "the battery is a large and heavy element, and therefore, it makes sense to manufacture it where the cars who used them are manufactured.
