The airline Air France will join forces with the Carwatt startup to carry out a joint project to replace diesel vehicles with electric vehicles for its airport services.
With this project, Air France intends to reduce its pollution footprint and contribute its grain to reduce CO2 emissions and noise at airports related to ground service vehicles. It also estimates that the cost of these services will be reduced.
The first prototype has already been presented at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.
Looking at my immense photographic archive, I have already found a photograph of an all-electric aircraft trailer manufactured by the German company MIAG in 1938, thus demonstrating that even this service would be feasible with non-polluting vehicles.
