The E-Bikes from Electrolyte

The German manufactory of electric bicycles Electrolyte has made its special mark with its fashionable E-Bikes that feature an appealing design and perfect functionality.

The minds behind Electrolyte, racing cyclists and bike enthusiasts themselves, could not acquire a taste for the conventional design and weight of existing E-Bikes. They were missing the style and roadability of classic sports bikes. Hence, the idea was born to give E-Bikes a new look. And the success confirmed that the initiators moved in the right direction: Since the beginning, several awards and a constantly growing fanbase have been encouraging the founders in their work. Electrolyte has entered the market in 2010 and established itself as a successful brand for ultra-light single-speed E-Bikes within a short time. The brand is part of the Gerg Light Vehicle GmbH which specializes in the construction of lightweight electric vehicles.

The E-Bikes from Electrolyte feature an ultra-light weight and intuitive handling with fewer controls. All bikes are designed in Germany and completely manufactured in Europe.

With the second generation of its lifestyle bike Strassenfeger, Electrolyte introduces a global E-Bike innovation. The Strassenfeger 02 is characterized by its unique combination of puristic design and compact electric drive. With only 14 kg /31 lb it is one of the most lightweight E-Bikes available on the market.

The Strassenfeger 02 is the first e-bike that features the new Electrolyte drive system. Engine, battery and controller are completely integrated in the innovative single-sided swing arm that drives the front wheel. The patented enclosed system protects the single components from dirt and humidity. Thus, they require very little maintenance. With a range from up to 80 km / 50 miles, the e-bike is perfect for trips in the city as well as more challenging tours. To switch on the engine, the cyclist simply presses the turbo button.

Equipped with high quality materials and components, the Strassenfeger 02 is a robust and reliable bike that easily manages the miscellaneous challenges of everyday life. Thanks to the 2-speed gear hub system with an integrated backpedal brake as well as the optional belt drive, the bike requires especially little maintenance. The new drive system is produced in Germany and fulfills the highest standards in terms of quality and safety. With regard to individual comfort, the frame geometry, design and bike features can be customized.

The Strassenfeger 02 will be available in a limited edition at selected retailers starting April 2013
