The American company Lion Bus of California was created in 2008 to offer special autobuses according to the demands of its clients. Now there is also a school bus, a typical American yellow model, totally electric.
It is a large and spacious electric bus, type C in the American nomenclature. The bus, instead of a powerful and large diesel engine, has a TM4 electric motor and, optionally, a battery pack of different sizes. In fact, no longer releases harmful gases from its exhaust pipes.With the simple pack the bus reaches an autonomy of 80 kilometers, with the medium pack reaches 120 kilometers and the special pack facilitates an autonomy of up to 160 kilometers, all with equivalent or even better features than with the diesel engine.
Lion also wants to prepare another type of electric buses, of different sizes, but also gets into the electric truck market, as interest is growing.
