The electric bicycle market is growing dramatically in all countries, not only in China, where several millions of them are sold every year, but also in many European countries. Driving an electric bike is fashionable. It is not surprising therefore that people create also very peculiar versions, of novel and attractive designs, as it is the case of the German Ruffian, combining an old-fashion chopper style with high performance and comfort, creating this way a new way of urban transport.

The company called Ruff has turned to Bosch technology, both the 250W pedal-assist motor and the 500 Wh batteries, installed into a steel tank. All this is combined by a Shimano eight-speed hub gearbox, which also supplies the hydraulic brakes.

Unique details of this chopper-style electric bike are its 26-inch wheels, dragster handlebars and a sprung leather saddle. Impressive the peak range of 90 kilometers and a 3,5 hour charge time. The bike comes in three colors, black, gray and brown, and costs about € 5,499.
