Electric trucks are already on the lips of everyone, and, above all, in the United States there are already several companies preparing vehicles for this new market, which promises to be very buoyant. The Californian company Thor Trucks will have its heavyweight ready for 2019.

The two founders of the company, Dakota Semler and Giordano Sordoni, have just revealed their new product, the electric truck ET-One of the class 8 of the American trucks, that is to say an authentic heavy-weight.

Already next year this truck will make its first demonstrations, and will go, if everything goes as calculated, to production in 2019. The truck will have a 300 miles range range when fully loaded to 40 tons. The base model will start at dollars 150K.

The truck will feature cylindrical lithium-ion battery pack in a 2170 format, which will have a big impact on energy density. The battery pack will range from 400 to 800 kWh, and will be modular, so they can be reused.

The maximum speed of this truck will be 70 mph, and the torque range will be approximately goes up to 5,000 lbs with a 2-speed gearing.

As we can see in the photos, the trucks of the future will not only change their image completely, but they will also be electric. But do not forget that the first electric truck was born at the turn of the nineteenth century to the twentieth ... in the books on the "History of the Electric Vehicle" that I am preparing you will find all these informations with a lot of images and photos.
